Friends of the Westwood Library
A volunteer organization formed to support the library through the monthly Book Sales and Annual Fund Drive. They also sponsor the Taste of Westwood, a gala event in conjunction with the Westwood Chamber of Commerce, and Baby Bag Makers service. Expertise in bookkeeping, finances, publicity, legal, technology, art are all needed.
Hospital: Hackensack UMC at Pascack Valley
Volunteer roles and responsibilities are varied and may include: greeting patients and visitors; assistance with patient transport; reception assistance; and assisting in areas such as accounting, computer technology, and other skills.Through an application process, prospective volunteers are evaluated and selected for positions that best match their abilities and suit their availability.

Drive local seniors and individuals with visual impairment. Provide one afternoon a week or a few hours during the month. ITN will arrange your driving assignments and routes around your schedule. Volunteers get mileage reimbursement for part of the ride and transportation credits for the rest. Non drivers are also welcomed to volunteer to keep your community safe.

CHEER shoppers visit once a week to do grocery shopping for isolated older persons. CHEERCALLERS provide daily friendly phone calls to homebound seniors.

A multi-purpose Senior Center for independent seniors age 60 or older or persons with disabilities. This facility offers a congregate hot-lunch program in addition to dancing, bingo, classes, and fitness opportunities. Mon-Fri: 8:30am-4pm. $2.00 per day ($1.00 for Westwood House Residents) to participate in activities and $3.50 for lunch program. A hair stylist comes in and all appointments must be made through the center.
